Before performing this operation please follow the indicated procedure for interior protection:00.AA.005 - INTERIOR VEHICLE PROTECTION 6. Remove the rear timing cover.01.24.080 - TIMING REAR COVER - Removal/refitting or replacement 7. Undo the 2 screws of engine timing inspection cover on LH bank head cover. 8. Undo the 2 screws of engine timing inspection cover on RH bank head cover. 9. Remove the 4 engine timing inspection covers. 10. Remove the 4 engine timing inspection covers. 11. Using the Dumper rotating tool (C)  V8 engine timing check tool kit (900028147), turn crankshaft clockwise, until camshaft threaded holes are visible through the engine timing inspection holes present on head covers. 12. The presence of the threaded hole on camshafts is the necessary condition to engine positioning in timing conditions. 13. If threaded hole is not present, turn crankshaft by one full turn (360°) so as to turn camshaft by half a turn (180°). 14. Insert camshaft orienting pins (B) inside engine timing inspection holes. If pins do not fit perfectly inside their seats, turn crankshaft clockwise or counter-clockwise in order to take up any clearance due to timing chains. 15. Screw camshaft orienting pins (B) fully home. 16. Screw camshaft orienting pins (B) fully home. 17. Screw camshaft orienting pins (B) fully home. 18. Take special tool  V8 crankshaft locking tool (900028268) and insert the 2 screws of tool inside the 2 holes indicated on damper. 19. Screw the 2 screws of tool and, at the same time, engage stud bolt (A) inside tool hole. 20. If a 6mm diameter grain is present, use th
